How to Use and Installation Notes
- Switch off the oven at the wall isolator and confirm the cavity is cold.
- Remove the oven racks, side runners, and the floor plate to expose the bottom element fixing screws.
- Photograph the wiring at the rear of the failed element before disconnecting anything.
- Undo the two fixing screws at the rear of the cavity and ease the element forward.
- Disconnect the terminal connections, noting the orientation of each wire.
- Reverse the steps to fit the new 70287 element, reconnecting wires to the matching terminals and torqueing screws firmly but not over tightly.
- Refit the floor plate, side runners, and oven racks.
- Restore power, run the oven on bake at 180C for 15 to 20 minutes empty to burn off any manufacturing residue, then confirm even heat from the floor of the cavity.
