Washed coffees like this SL28 offer a pure expression of the bean, unmasked by processing techniques, allowing the intrinsic qualities of the single-origin coffee to shine through.
The Roast. While versatile enough for pour-overs (we recommend a 16:1 water-to-coffee ratio), this SL28 shines as an espresso. Its dense, full body and rich caramel sweetness, combined with almost no acidity, create an unforgettable shot. We use a 19.5g dose for double shots, with a slightly coarser grind due to the density of the beans compared to varietals like Bourbon.
